“This is our second time staying at the Country View B&B. We thoroughly our stay in 2011 we knew that should we return it had to be to Valley View. Once again we had a very comfortable room and delicious breakfast. However best of all it was wonderful to chat with Valerie and Maynard. They are lovely hosts.”

“Recently my wife, grand daughter and I had the extreme pleasure of staying at Valley View Country House with Valerie and her family. This was an absolutely wonderful stay. Valerie is an awesome host who goes to great efforts to ensure everything is perfect for her guests. Our upstairs room was nothing less than perfect with more than ample space including the spacious ensuite. Valerie's breakfast menu has many choices and our choices were prepared perfectly. It was difficult leaving Valerie and her family because they made us feel so much at home. I do hope to visit Valley View Country House B & B again very soon!”

“Valerie and her husband are just perfect hosts. The rooms are immaculate and their house is ideally situated if you look for peace and quiet and a good \'base camp\' a reasonable driving distance away from the Giants Causeway, the coastal way and all the nice places along the North coast.”

Mr. Yves Sarthou - 29-Jun-2017

Mrs. Ann Bennett - 06-Sep-2016

“Short but excellent stay in this brilliant B&B. We arrived lateish (7 pm. I tried to phone but didn’t get the code right) but the owner was very nice and accommodating about it. They are also very helpful when it comes to find a good place to eat...plenty of suggestions over a good price range and a map to find them. As we were so late they even booked a table for us. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and spacious with a spacious en suite as well. The bed was very comfortable and we both had a good night’s sleep. There was the usual tea/coffee in the room, but an in-room fridge was an added bonus and very welcome.

Breakfasts are of a very high quality and the idea of the breakfast slips ingenious. You fill in your slip the night before with names, room numbers etc. and your choice of breakfast - anything from full Irish, to egg on toast, to pancakes a really good selection and beautifully cooked when it arrives.

Every breakfast table had its own toaster which means you get your toast when you want, fresh, hot and done just how you like it! – an ingenious idea and one that will probably be copied by others in times to come.

Valerie and Maynard are very good hosts, and make all guests very welcome and we would have no hesitation in recommending this B+B to anyone. Definitely a place to return to and if we are ever in the area again this will definitely be where we stay.

And last but not least – Shadow (the golden retriever). I do like dogs but this one is loveable beyond belief, so well behaved but with lots of character as well, and if you don’t like dogs you probably may never know she lives there-her name suits her so well.

“This was our favorite out of 5 B&Bs we stayed in all over Ireland. The house was lovely and in a beautiful location, the room was spacious and comfortable, our hosts gave us a map and directions to local attractions, and breakfast was absolutely delicious - the best we had in our whole trip! I only wish we had stayed more than one night.”
